Solutions
Titrant c(HCl) = 0.1 mol/L in
2-propanol.
If possible this solution
should be bought from a
supplier
Solvent (toluene) = 50%,
(2-propanol) = 49.5% and
(CO
2
-free H
2
O) = 0.5%
Analysis
An appropriate amount of well-mixed sample is
weighed into the titration vessel and 75 mL solvent are
added. Proceed with the titration using standardized
c(HCl) = 0.1 mol/L.
After the titration, the burette tip and conductivity
measuring cell are rinsed with solvent until no more oil
is visible. The conductivity measuring cell is then rinsed
with dist. H
2
O followed by solvent.
