Salary: Grade 3: 16,705- 18,185 per annum
17.5 hours per week
Fixed Term to 29 August 2015

Manchester Metropolitan University are currently recruiting a Assistant Administrator to provide a
professional and efficient administrative service to internal and external customers.
The duties of the job include:

To actively participate in and contribute to the work of the team, covering for other Assistant
Administrators where appropriate.
To advise new starters in a similar role on University processes, procedures and systems.
To maintain an interest in, and develop an understanding of current initiatives relevant to the role.
To proactively contribute to team meetings.
To contribute towards the enhancement of the student experience through the delivery of a
customer-focused service.
To be conversant with the services provided by the office in order to be able to deal with enquiries
and requests for information from both internal and external customers.
To contribute towards continuous service enhancement, by sharing good practice and working
collaboratively with other administrators in the Faculty SAS administration to support the
enhancement of processes and systems.
To assist with the operation of systems and procedures used to seek student and staff feedback on
the service delivered.
To contribute, as required, to the work of the team supporting student enquiries via the Student Hub


We would like to hear from you if you have/are:

The ability to communicate information which requires careful explanation both verbally and in
writing.
Understanding of the services provided by the area of work to provide accurate help and assistance to
customers.
Able to prioritise own work or resources to achieve agreed objectives, providing support to other
members of the team as required.
Able to carry out routine liaison to pass on information promptly and accurately.
Education equivalent to 5 passes at GCSE grades A C, or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent experience,
showing clear evidence of literacy and numeracy
