Google Drive allows users to create and access documents from any computer. Users can log into their Gmail account, click Drive, and create new documents or upload existing files. Any changes are automatically saved, so documents can be accessed and edited from home or school without downloading or uploading. Users can organize their work into folders for different courses. Introduction to Google Drive (1)

The easiest way to work between home and school is to Create your work in
Google Drive, there is no uploading or downloading necessary.
Just Create and access from home or school; Google Docs saves it automatically.

1. Login to your Gmail and click on Drive(or Docs which is an older view), at the top
of your Gmail page.











2. Google Drive will open.
This is where you can access files from home or from school,
or create a new Google Doc.


a. Add a folder for
each course to
organize your work.

b. Click Create to
write a

1. Word processing
document.
2. Presentation -
(a PowerPoint),
3. Spreadsheet
or other document type.
Upload button (see page 2)


OR







If you already have a document started on your computer, then Upload the document
and it will be accessible at home or school.

Create settings for uploads to Google Docs. Convert uploaded files to Google Docs
Format, highlighted below, will provide you the greatest flexibility, allowing you to work at
home and school without having to convert your files each time you work.




Follow the steps below before Uploading



Create Settings:
a. Click
Settings
button


b. Click
Upload
settings

c. Select one of
the three options.









You can download and convert your Google Docs files if necessary by right clicking on the document and
selecting download. You will have the option to convert to your preferred format.
