ANSYS Applications (ACT extensions)
ANSYS Apps or ACT Extensions allow you to obtain more value from ANSYS Mechanical and
the ANSYS Workbench environment. These posted extensions introduce a broad range of
enhancements for the ANSYS Mechanical product, and highlight the overall capabilities of the
ACT Module.
Extensions are made available at the Customer Portal either in binary format (.wbex file) only, or
binary and scripted format (python and XML files). The Extensions made available in scripted
format may be used as examples for the development of your own ACT-based extensions (ACT
Module required).
ACT Module documentation and ACT Introductory Training Materials are available at the ANSYS
Customer Portal.
To successfully install ACT-based Extensions: an Installation guide (PDF) is available.
