Adding An Assignment
1. When logged into PowerSchool Gradebook, click on the tab labeled Assignments
2. In the Assignments tab, make sure you have the reporting term selected of which you would like to
add an assignment.
3. In order to add an assignment, click the + button at the bottom of the page. This will open up a
New Assignment dialogue box.
4. Fill in the sections of the New Assignment dialogue box and then click Save
Enter a description of the assignment for students/parents to see.

Choose due
date within the
range of
grading period
Select the
assignment
category
for the
dropdown
menu
Select scoring type from dropdown
menu and enter points possible
5. The created assignment will show up under both the Assignments tab and Scoresheet tab in the
gradebook.

6. You can copy an assignment created to other classes in the Scoresheet tab. Right click on the
assignment name and select Copy Assignment
7. Select the assignment or assignments you would like to copy by checking the box next to the
assignment(s) name and click next.
8. Select the class or classes you would like to copy the assignment(s) by checking the box next to the
assignment(s) name and then click OK.
