Energy is everywhere
The ability to do work
Cant be created or destroyed
Can move through thinks
Can change types
Potential (stored)
Kinetic (moving)
Every day you see kinetic energy. In school yard you see balls flying
through the air did you know that Kinetic energy is going through it.
Potential energy is Earth's gravity is necessary to create this kinetic
energy, and because this gravity depends on the Earth being present, we
say that the "Earth-book system" is what really possesses this potential
energy, and that this energy is converted into kinetic energy as the book
falls.
Kinetic Energy
Thermal energy Thermal energy is heat
energy. It is created by atoms and molecules
rubbing together. The quicker they rub, the
warmer the object
Sound energy The motion of things
creates sound energy. The motion makes the
air move around which creates what we call
sound
Electrical energy Electrical energy is
the movement of Electrons. The electrons
can only move through conductors and are
stoped by insulators. Electrons want to make
a full circuit but only can when the circuit is
complete.
Nuclear energyNuclear energy is the
energy from power plants. There are
explosion from splitting atoms, which heats
up water into steam, which turns a turbine
and creates energy from the motion
