    Dear Community Member,

    Hi! We represent Earl Warren Middle Schools Adapted Physical Education (APE) school program. APE
    offers the physically, mentally or emotionally challenged students an individualized physical experience to
    optimize motor and physical functioning.

    The Adapted Physical educators of the San Dieguito Union High School District created a sports league. Each
    school in the district formed an APE sports team, allowing the students to play against each others schools
    challenged teams in various sports. On May 22, 2014, Earl Warren Middle School will host the 8th annual APE
    Softball Tournament. We also invited the feeder elementary school districts: Solana Beach and Del Mar
    Elementary.

    Special Education is confronting shrinking budgets. It is the generosity of the community that helps provide
    opportunities for our students. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. The Earl Warren and Carmel
    Valley APE students and their buddies will be performing a special dance at the event to the song Thrift
    Shop. We would like to get costumes for the dance performance, healthy snacks, and water bottles for the
    participating students, and be able to give away prizes at the event. Seventy five (75) APE students and seventy
    (70) peer buddies will be participating in this event.
