Group assignment: Getting to know a Heterogeneous Catalytic Reaction Process
Number of members in a group: not more than 4
Format of presentation: Info sheet
Due date: 11 July 2014 (Friday)

Tasks:
Please look for an industrial heterogeneous catalytic process in Malaysia and study the
process. You will need to gather as much information as possible and fill up the info
sheet as provided.



Note:
1. Any process is fine as long as it is a heterogeneous process with catalyst. In
addition to the examples I have covered during the lecture, you could find their
applications in pollution control, bioprocess in producing pharmaceutical
intermediates and fuel cell etc. It is up to your creativity to find the applications
in our chemical industry in Malaysia.
2. No two (or more) groups will do the same process. However, same process at
different plants is allowed.
3. Before you register your title, please check that other groups have not registered
the title. You have to come up with another title if other groups have already
registered for the title.

5. You might want to present the "Request for visit and interview" letter when you
