You have to download two software:
1. usb driver and
2. progisp 1.68
To download them, we provided you links through which you can
easily download that softwares in the .rar form.

Download usb driver
To download progisp1.68, go on the link

windows-7-and-windows-vista-x64/ and install it.
Now for the installation procedure:
1. Download the driver

x86-x64-ia64-v1.2.4.rar
2. Insert the USBASP into your USB port
3. The system will attempt to install a driver from Windows
Update.
To download progisp1.68, go on the link http://www.zhifengsoft.com/
A page opens. Now
click on Download
progisp1.68.

Now extract the folders of.rar files which are downloaded form the
internet.
Open the folder progisp168. Progisp is the software used to
program the microcontroller.

Select the
Chip i.e. select
AT89S52.
Note: Select the microcontroller which you are using. Here we use AT89S52.
Place your microcontroller on the 8051 pocket programmer board and
jumper of board to ISP mode.
Connect the 8051 pocket programmer to computer through USB cable.

Install the USB driver.
Right click on My Computer.
Go on Manage option.

Then go to Device Manager and double click on USBasp.

A window opens in which you have to click on Reinstall Driver.

Choose the option highlighted in picture below and then go to Next.

Select the highlighted options and then browse the hex file of the program.

Now select the libusb_0.1.10.1 folder present in the win-driver
folder of progisp168 to install the driver at this location. Then click
on OK.

Click to Next.

Click to Finish. This complete the installing of USB driver.

After installing the USB driver, the firmware window shows the
glowing light on program state.

Now insert the hex file by clicking on File and then on Load Flash.

want to load in the microcontroller.

After completing the process of burning shift the jumper to TEST
and Press the Reset switch of the board.

This is how our 8051 pocket programmer works.
Remember that whenever you burn the program into
the microcontroller, the jumper should be at the ISP
mode.
