Introduction
You can use 8pen8ffice.org A88oB )ithout reCuiring a pointing de%ice$ such as a
mouse or trac(ball$ by using its built,in (eyboard shortcuts.
88o has a general set of (eyboard shortcuts$ a%ailable in all components$ and a
component,specific set directly related to the )or( of that component. This appendi2
lists the the default set for 0riter. =or general shortcuts$ see 'ppendi2 ' of the
!etting tarted guide.
=or help )ith 88oDs (eyboard shortcuts$ or using 88o )ith a (eyboard only$ search
the 88o +elp using the EshortcutF or EaccessibilityF (ey)ords.
9n addition to using the built,in (eyboard shortcuts listed in this 'ppendi2$ you can
define your o)n. <ee Chapter 1> ACustomi?ing 0riterB for instructions.

<ome of the shortcuts listed here may not )or( if your operating system
uses the same shortcuts for other tas(s.
To get around this problem$ assign different (eys to these shortcuts by
reconfiguring either 88o Asee Chapter 1>B or your operating system Asee

a list bo2$ or a chec(bo2B is highlighted or indicated by a dotted bo2 around the field
or button name. This element is said to ha%e the focus on it.
