Physics Logbook v2.0

Three students - Poh Wai Chang, Yong Jian Shen, and Kelly Pang Yuan Jing - were divided into a group by their physics teacher to conduct a research project on heat. They decided to study the best household insulators for storing food. They developed procedures, consulted with their teacher, conducted the experiment in the physics lab, analyzed results, and created a report and presentation which they later corrected based on teacher feedback.

The students of Upper 6 Science Alpha are divided into several
groups which consist of 3 members per group. A group of 3
members is formed, consisting of :
1) Poh Wai Chang
2) Yong Jian Shen
3) Kelly Pang Yuan Jing
Our Physics teacher, Mr. Wee Choi Chiang gave us the theme
for this project which is Heat.

21/1/2013
Discussions were carried out among our group members about
the theme of this project. We had chosen to carry out the project
entitled The Best Insulator for Storing Food by Using
Household Items. The procedures for the experiment is also
drafted out. At the same time, researches were carried out by
referring to reference books and the internet.

12/2/2103
Discussion is carried out with our teacher to check the
availability of the apparatus and also the suitability of our
procedure.

28/2/2013
The experiment is carried out in the Physics Laboratory of
S.M.K. Tinggi Melaka. The results obtained are seemed to be
consistent with the theoretical values.

12/3/2013
The results are analysed and the graph is also plotted. We
proceeded to continue with the completion of our report. At the

same time, a powerpoint presentation is also being prepared.
10/6/2013
The report and powerpoint presentation were checked by our
teacher, Mr. Wee. There were some minor errors in our report
and the corrections were made.

14/8/2013 The report and powerpoint are completed.
