    This document provides release notes for version 1.0.0.17 of the Grandstream Search Tool software from Grandstream Networks. The tool allows users to detect Grandstream IP video surveillance devices on the network, view their IP addresses, modify IP addresses, and configure Wi-Fi settings. It can find devices, allow changing a device's IP address which will cause a reboot, and has a PING function to check for duplicate IP addresses when using static IPs.

    GRANDSTREAM NETWORKS

    Date: March 20, 2013

    This utility will find and configure the IP address of Grandstream IP Video Surveillance products.

    1. Run the Grandstream Search Tool.
    2. Click button begin device detection.
    3. The detected devices will be displayed as output as shown like below:

    4. New IP can be input to overwrite old IP by click Modify IP, the device will reboot to apply new IP.
    5. PING button conveniently provided to make sure no IP duplication when using static IP.
    6. Select Use DHCP and Modify to overwrite detected previously used static IP.

    7. Wi-Fi Configuration can also be applied via the setting tab if initially found via wired LAN.


    8. If GSurf_Pro installed, the embedded Search Tool of GSurf_Pro SHOULD be used instead of
    this one.
