Transformer / Reactor:: Typical Limiting Values of Sub-Station Electrical Equipment's

This document lists typical limiting values and permissible limits for testing various electrical equipment in sub-stations, including: 1. Transformers should have a minimum breakdown voltage of 600kV for oil at initial charging and 50kV during operation and maintenance. Oil moisture content should not exceed 15ppm initially and 25ppm during operation and maintenance. 2. Reactor vibration levels should not exceed 200 microns peak-to-peak and 60 microns on average. 3. Bushings should have a tan delta value below 0.007 and capacitance within 5% of specifications. Winding insulation resistance should be over 1000 megohms and tan delta below 0.007.
