Special Operators
Operator Meaning
"" Search for the entire phrase within the quotation marks or a precise match for
the word within the quotation marks.
or

Search for pages with at least one word on either side of the operator
- Search for pages that do not contain the word on the right hand side of the
operator.
.. Searches for numbers in the range given by the numbers on either side of the
operator
* Searches for a string enclosed in quotation marks with the operator replaced by
one or more words
Operators for limiting search
Operator Meaning
allintitle: Search for pages where all the words on the right hand side of the operator are
included in the title
intitle: Search for pages where the word on the right hand side of the operator is included
in the title
allintet: Search for pages where all the words on the right hand side of the operator are
included in the tet of the page
intet: Search for pages where the word on the right hand side of the operator is included
in the tet
filetype: Search for pages of the specified file type
site: Search for pages in the specified site
