Perception

Perception is how individuals interpret and make sense of sensory information about their environment. People's behavior is based on their perceptions rather than objective reality. Perception is influenced by factors like a person's interests, experiences, and attitudes. Attribution theory examines how people make judgments about whether others' behaviors are caused by internal or external factors, which is prone to self-serving bias and underestimating external influences. Common errors in perception include selective perception, halo effects, projection, and stereotyping.
