SKIN Depth

The skin depth is the distance at which an alternating current decreases to approximately 37% of its original value. The skin depth is calculated by dividing the square root of the product of permeability of vacuum and electrical resistivity by the square root of angular frequency. For aluminum at 50 Hz, the skin depth is approximately 12 mm.
