Lesson plan Model

Date: October 6th Level: First graders


Skill: Reading, Writing, Listening

Expected Outcomes: Students will be able to know some daily routines. Besides, they will be able to know about
the use of Present Simple and know about adding “s” to the verbs in third person singular.

Time Comments

Introduction Students will be asked to make groups of 4 people. They will have to
give a name for their groups. The idea is that they all can participate in
Greetings 10' the class.
Set the rules.
Set work groups.

Core of the class


Show and explain some keywords: very often, always, and everyday.
Pre-stage 10' Tell the students to pay attention to the use of present simple and to the
written sentences. Show the video. Ask the students if they have
Put Present Simple in context discovered something about the use of this tense.

While-stage Show the video again and explain it. Then, ask them about if they have
discovered something related to the verbs. Show some videos again.
Explanation of Present Explain about adding “s” at the end of a verb in third person singular.
Simple 30' Explain some exceptions (to be and to have).

Post-stage
Show a power point presentation about Mister Bean's daily routine. In
Activity: Mister Bean's daily groups of 4 people , they will answer the questions. If their answers are
routine right, they will receive points. (this points will be used for the next
30' evaluation).

Closing The students will be asked to say what they have learned in the class.
Clarify some doubt. They will have to write their own daily routine.
