Web banner ads and rich media banner ads are graphical advertisements displayed on web pages and delivered by central ad servers that can include video, audio, animations, buttons, forms and other interactive elements. Pop-up ads open in new browser windows above the initial window while pop-under ads open below. Floating or overlay ads appear superimposed over requested website content and may disappear or become less obtrusive after a set time period. Email advertising includes ad copy within entire emails or portions of emails, which may be unsolicited but include opt-out options, or sent with prior recipient consent as opt-in emails.
