journey, for example, invite parents
during guided reading sessions, school
excursions, and other classroom
activities.

parents from different cultural
backgrounds to speak to the class
about their culture, or invite long-time
residents in the local area to discuss the
history of the area.
At the end of each term I will organise a
teddy bears picnic and invite parents to
join their child for lunch.
