Manufacturing Specifications

General Description:

The No Hands residential fob is a three part system consisting of an activator in the
form of a customized unique key, a receiver and lock activator mechanism located in
the lock, and a door activator located inside or next to the door frame. It is designed to
allow easy access to an entrance or entrances of a home much like modern automobile
fobs.

The Activator/Transmitter:

Functionality and Usage:
A customized key has a chip and transmitter embedded within it. On pressing one of
four buttons a signal is sent to a receiving unit located inside the door lock.
Materials:
The key is made with a nickel alloy to ease transmission of a signal. The chip and
receiver components are contained within a water-proof plastic-polymer housing.

The Receiver/Locking Mechanism:

Functionality and Usage:
A standard dead bolt with a receiver unit built in. Two lithium ion batteries power the
receiver and using an electrical current and air compression force the lock open from the
inside, much like an automobiles electric locks. A smaller charge is emitted when
unlocking the door to prevent lock wear and to preserve battery life.
Materials:
A wireless receiver, copper electrical wiring, and a custom dead bolt available in a
variety of metals, shapes, and sizes to best fit the dcor of a home.

The Power Box (external model shown):

Functionality and Usage:
A signal from the lock/receiver is relayed to the power box using a one way relay
wireless circuit. This signals the door to open or close. The power box is small enough
to fit within the door frame for dcor purposes and requires an electrical connection via
our installation technicians.
Materials:
The box itself is made of a stainless steel-copper alloy and is attached to a double egress
arm with a slide track. There is a spring in either side of the slide track to allow a
smooth transition to a fully opened state.

Manufacturing and Installation:
Our chips are ordered in bulk from Los Alamos, CA and are double programmable
circuits which we have generically formatted at our sister company CheapLaborRUS.
Custom solutions are handled on a case by case basis by Simple Solutions computer
technicians at our facilities. The generic keys and lock mechanisms come in sets from a
contract with Communo Corp. out of Beijing, China and are specifically made for our
purposes. Our electrical engineers assemble the power boxes in a variety of the most
common shapes and sizes for quick and easy installation. Our installation technicians
typically take between 2 to 3 hours to fully install and test most systems. Since this is an
installed product there is no packaging and overhead for the homeowner. We transport
each unit in a fluorocarbon transport unit so as not to damage the receivers and
transmitters on transport.

Display:
It is important to note that our display units are all external to show the device to
prospective buyers. The most used units are the size of a car trunk opener and fit in a 2
inch by 6 inch depression within most door frames/door installations.

Marketing Pitch

What are We Solving?

We are solving the difficulty of unlocking and opening doors with your hands full. Also,
we are providing easier overall access to homes/dwellings of the same ease of use as an
automobile fob. It makes absolutely no sense to us that the automobile industry has
picked up on this concept and the home industry has not or hasnt figured out an
adequate solution. All of the stuff we transport in our automobiles ends up in our homes
anyway not to mention things we pick up when we dont use an automobile or use a
bike which is much more popular in cities.

How is it Different?

There are two similar products on the market. One unlocks your home and the other
opens the door. There is no system to our knowledge that incorporates both. Also, both
of these aspects are handled horribly or are no practical. We have made an attempt to
mimic the practicality of automobile fobs while customizing them for use with home
entrances while maintaining the safety and security of a home.

Research

The average American uses their home entrance door 9 times per day. 15% of the time
they are carrying a full load and struggle with opening or unlocking the door. Our
product is estimated to save about 4 days-worth of time per year just fiddling with
opening and entering your home. Also the amount of items broken or spilled while
opening or unlocking doors each year in the U.S. could fill two entire N.F.L. football
stadiums to the brim. Items like laptops and smartphones are the most commonly
broken, after considering the groceries category listed as (all groceries). Door related
injuries account for nearly 30% of all household accidents. Our spring slide system
prevents these injuries from ever happening.
