The advanced organizer provides a way to summarize the information from the chapter.
There are clearly defined areas for different categories. This strategy is a great way to
introduce information in a chapter without overwhelming students.



3. EXPLANATION OF APPLICABILITY OF SPECIFIC STRATEGY TO CHAPTER CONTENT

This strategy is a great way to introduce information in a chapter without overwhelming
students. The chapter contains a lot of information, and without breaking it down the
information can seem like too much for some students. This strategy provides a visual of all
major categories that will be covered. It also provides space for vocabulary words so
students have the opportunity to learn those words before they get into the content of the
chapter.

This strategy is helpful because it exposes students to a visual of what is to come in the
chapter. It is visually appealing and displays the information in a way that is not
overwhelming. Priming is a great technique to help students with disabilities, and this
strategy is perfect for priming. The advanced organizer clearly defines the main point of
the chapter as well as vocabulary that will be mentioned in the chapter.
