{it is deciding in advance what to do , when to do, how to do, & who will do

To achieve goals. Planning is part of the activities of all managers.}

ORGNISING: organizing is the process of linking and arranging activities in a sequence.


It is includes allocating work, authority and resources. {organisations are
Structured based on product, functions, geography, customer and project}.

STAFFING: staffing is acquiring, developing, utilizing and compensating human resources

Process requires the performance of the functions like job analysis, human
Resources planning, recruitment, selection , induction , placement, training,
Executive development, wage and salary administration, leadership, team
Work, motivation, grievance procedure, displanary procedure etc. staffing
Function are also known as human resource function.}

DIRECTING: directing involves leading, influencing and motivating the people to


Perform organisational tasks and to convert input into output. It includes
Motivation, leadership, communication. {the important function of manage-
Ment at any level is directing the people by motivating, commanding, leading
And activating them.}

CONTROLING: controlling is to make sure that the organization is moving towards its
Mission and objectives. { controlling also involves checking, verifying
And comparing of actual performance with the plans, identification of
Deviations, if any and correcting of identified deviations. Thus actions
And operations are adjusted to predetermined plans and standards to
Control.}
