Directing as a function of management is
concerned with instructing, guiding and

Definition of directing
According to Koontz and ODonnell-
Directing is the interpersonal aspect of
managing by which subordinates are led to
understand and contribute effectively and
efficiently to the attainment of enterprise
objectives.
According to Marshall E, Dimock-The
heart of administration is the directing function
