The Women Build is based on the platform of

Women Build teams solicit members to help them reach their chosen goal. These members each raise portions by soliciting small donations through their personal networks.
Using our online fundraising tool, members solicit

microfundraising. Individual teams work together to reach fundraising goals. Once a goal is reached, each team earns volunteer slots for a full day of on-site building. As individual teams reach their goal, the cumulative $75,000 needed to

Because 98% of children of Habitat families graduate from high school or get their GED. go on to some form of higher education or career training. Because 53.9% of Rochester's youth under 18 live in poverty. Flower City Habitat builds homes that allow families in this demographic to stabilize housing costs, manage their finances, and invest in the next generation. Because since 1984, Flower City Habitat has moved over 300 children into lead-free, mold-free, healthy homes.3

As a 2014 Women Build captain you get to choose what level team you would like to strive to be. These levels are goals, meaning that they're not written in stone - you can always raise more than what's listed. But if you know your team will be
able to commit to a higher-level of fundraising we'd like to be able to fulfill the benefits of that level right from kick-off. All teams will receive one build day (Tues-Sat 9am to 4pm) for a group of 6 volunteers for every $1,000 your team raises.
