Murderers follow) (Enter Macduff and Malcolm) Macduff: Ive lost hope of convincing you to fight Macbeth. Malcom: You have to understand, Im just trying to protect myself. Macduff: Oh I understand, but you need to understand that I wouldnt be as evil as him if you offered me half of the world. Malcolm: I understand that, and I dont completely distrust you, but if I kill Macbeth the next king will have a terrible reputation. Macduff: Who is the next king? Malcolm: Me. Macduff: You dont need to worry about that. Macbeth is an awful man. You would be an unfit king. I didnt claim your rightful throne. Youd be unfit to live. Your father was an honest man. Youre a joke even thinking about dishonoring him like this. Malcolm: That was very passionate. Which proves that you can be trusted, we will fight for Macbeth? (Enter Ross) Ross: Hello Macduff: Hows Scotland? Ross: Its awful, its not the land where were born anymore, and its the land where we die. Macduff: How are my wife and children? Ross: They were at peace when I left them. Macduff: So whats going on out there? Ross: Macbeth is gathering his army Malcolm: Thats fine, the king has given me my own army of ten thousand men. Ross: I wish I could share good news as well, but my news is awful! Macduff: Whats it about? Does it affect all of us? Or just one?

Ross: Just you. Macduff: If its for me then speak up. Ross: Your castle was attacked. Your wife and children savagely slaughtered. I cant even tell you how they were killed, it was so nasty. Malcolm: Oh my goodness! (To Macduff) Come on, dont hide your grief let it out man. Macduff: They killed my children too? Ross: Your wife, children, servant anyone they could find. Macduff: And I was gone! My wife was killed too? Ross: Yes, I just said she was. Malcolm: Its ok, youll have your revenge on Macbeth. Macduff: But he doesnt have children. All of my gorgeous little children, all of them? All my children and their mother killed at the same time? Malcolm: Use this anger to fight Macbeth, dont block the feeling use them and rage. Macduff: Lord, please let me get to Macbeth soon. Put him face to face with my sword so he cant escape. Malcolm: Come on, the army is waiting. Lets go see Macbeth! (Exit) (Enter Macbeth) Macbeth: I dont want to hear anything else. I dont care if all the thanes leave me. Until Birnam wood gets up and comes to Dunsinane, I dont have any worries. (Enter servant) Why so palefaced? Servant: There are ten thousand Macbeth: 10,000 what, you idiot? Servant: Soldiers, sir. Macbeth: You cant leave now (exit servant) Ill fight them all until they rip the skin off my bones. Wheres my armor? (Exit) (Enter Siward, Macduff, and Malcolm) Siward: Whats the name of the forest behind us?

Macduff: Birnam Wood. Malcolm: Tell every soldier to take a branch and hold it in front of them so we can conceal ourselves. Siward: Macbeth is still in Dunsinane and hes going to let us lay siege on the castle. Macduff: Lets just focus and fight like hardworking soldiers? Siward: Agreed. We cant keep sitting around lets move forward. (Exit marching) (Enter Macbeth) Macbeth: Everyone keeps yelling Here they come! So, let them come. Our castle is strong enough to hold them for months (cries) whats that noise? Servant: Women crying sir. (exit) Macbeth: I almost forgot what fear feels like. Ive seen to many horrors to be afraid anymore. (enter servant) What was the cry for? Servant: The queen is dead, sir. Macbeth: She wouldve died later anyway. That news is nothing shocking. Life is nothing but an illusion anyway. (Enter Messenger) You have something to say, say it. Messenger: When I was standing watch, I couldve sworn I saw Birnam wood move. Macbeth: LIAR! Messenger: Beat me if its a lie. 3 miles out, you can see it, a moving forest. Macbeth: If youre lying Ill hang you from the nearest tree (Exit all) (Enter Malcolm, Siward, and Macduff) Malcolm: Were close enough now. Throw doen your branches and let them see you. Siward you and your son will lead the first battle. Macduff and I will do the rest, according to plans. Siward: Good luck. Macduff: Blow all the trumpets. We should announce the men of death (exit) EYE OF THE TIGER FINAL SONG (Macbeth standing around, enter young Siward) Young Siward: Whats your name?

Macbeth: You wouldnt want to hear it. Young Siward: I would even if you were one of the worst demons in hell. Macbeth: My name is Macbeth. Young Siward: The devil himself couldnt say a name I hate more. Macbeth: No, his name couldnt be more frightening either. Young Siward: Im not afraid of you. (Fight, young Siward dies. Macbeth exits. Enter Malcolm and Siward) Siward: The battle is almost over. Weve won the castle and the soldiers are fighting. Malcolm: Its like they dont want to fight us. Siward: Sir, go in the castle. . . (Exit, enter Macbeth) Macbeth: Why should I stress myself out? As long as my enemies are alive, Id rather see them suffer and die myself. (Enter Macduff) Macduff: Turn around, you ugly piece of crap, turn! Macbeth: Ive avoided you for a long time. But go away now. Ive already killed your whole family, what more do you want? Macduff: I have nothing to say to you. My sword will do all the talking. (Fight) Macbeth: Youre wasting your time trying to kill me. You might as well try to fight air. I cant be hurt by anyone born from a woman. Macduff: Well then, you can forget about whatever protection you thought you had. Whatever devil creature you work for can be sure to let you know that I was cut from my mother before she could birth me naturally. Macbeth: Screw you. You have ruined my sense of courage. I cant trust those creatures words anymore and I wont fight you. Macduff: Then surrender and we will put you on display like all the other deformed animals.

Macbeth: Oh no!! I wont surrender just to kiss Malcolms ass and be taunted by common folk! Even though Birnam wood came to Dunsinane and I am fighting a man not born of woman, I will fight to the end. So lets go Macduff and to hell with the first man that says Stop, enough. (Exit fighting) (Enter Malcom, Siward and Ross) Malcolm: I wish all of us could have survived the battle Siward: People always have to die; luckily we didnt lose too many men. Malcolm: Macduff is missing though, and so is your son. Ross: Your son is dead. He died fighting like a man. Siward: So hes dead? Ross: Yes, and hes been carried off the field. Siward: Were his wounds in the front? Ross: Yes. Siward: Well then, I couldnt have asked for a more honorable death for one of my sons. Thats all there is to it. Malcolm: He deserves more mourning that that. Siward: He doesnt. He died well, and settled his beef. God is with him now (Enter Macduff with Macbeths head) Macduff: Hail, king! Because thats what you are now. I have killed Macbeth and we are free. I see that you have a crowd around you and theyre thinking what Im thinking. So hail king of Scotland. All: Hail, king of Scotland! Malcolm: We must call home all of our friends that fled Macbeths tyranny. We will do everything that needs done at the right time and in the right place. So I thank all of you and invite you to watch me be crowned king of Scotland. (Exit)
