Amplifier With Buffer Configuratoin: KLE Society's B.V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli

This document summarizes the design of an amplifier configured as a buffer. The objective is to achieve high open-loop gain and output voltage swing to drive load capacitance. It will explore single-stage and cascoded op-amp architectures with specifications including a gain factor of 1, offset of +/-5mV, setting time of 80ns, and ability to drive a 2pF load. The design is intended to operate from a 1.8V supply with a temperature range of -40 to 125 degrees Celsius.

INTRODUCTION
A buffer amplifier is one that provides electrical impedance transformation from one circuit to another. Two main types of buffer exist: 1. voltage buffer 2. current buffer Voltage buffer having a high output impedance level to a low input impedance level. Current buffer having a low output impedance level to a high input impedance level.

OBJECTIVE

To design the amplifier as a buffer to achieve the high open loop gain and the high output voltage swing and to drive the load capacitance

LITERATURE SURVEY
Different types of architecture 1.Single stage op amp

2. Cascoded op amp
