 Multiply polynomials

DEFINITIONS

Polynomial – Is a monomial or a sum of monomials.

A real number times a variable raise to a whole number exponent.

Trinomial – Is a polynomial with 3 unlike terms

Ex: 2x2 + 3x + 1

Binomial – Is a polynomial with 2 unlike terms

Ex: 3x + 5

Degree of a Polynomial- Is the greatest exponent of the variable of the polynomial.

EX1. Determine whether each expression is a polynomial. If it is, state the degree.
