I have created this website as a way to communicate with people in the maritime industry. I will be out in the workforce within the next three months. I have no obligations at this time, and am free to sail as much as needed. I would prefer to work on larger inter-coastal ships, but at this point in my career I will take a job onboard any unlimited tonnage vessel. I am currently a cadet at the Texas A&M Maritime Academy. I have passed my third mates exam and will gaduate in May 2014 with a degree in Maritime Transportation. I have maintained a 3.0 GPA throughout my time at the Academy. While in school I have gained an understanding and familiarity of the maritime industry through my studies. I also have hands on experience from a training cruise of 60 days, as well as from a commercial cruise of 90 days onboard a dive ship. While in school I have been part of the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M. This is a program instills values such as integrity, responsibility, and teamwork. This is reached through discipline and hardwork in our day to day life. As well as being a full time student I also work part time. I am used to having a full schedule, and will gladly work any overtime hours as needed. I have stood watch on two different vessels in the last two years. I have taken a voyage across the Atlantic through the fierce North Sea onboard the TS Empire State VI. I have also navigated through the heavy traffic of the Gulf of Mexico onboard the dive vessel Black Diver III. This summer, I will be taking the TS Golden Bear from Pearl Harbor to the South China Sea, and then all the way across the Pacific to Vallejo, CA. This training cruise will be over at the end of August. This is when I will be able to start working I look forward to hearing from anyone that is interested in talking to me about a career with their company.
