I based this activity on a syllable review for students. It is clear that many students in my second grade classroom need help learning how to count the number of syllables in a word, which is why I decided to use (Syllable Lesson )ideo* at the beginning of my lesson. I feel that this video will provide students with different ways of remembering how to count their syllables if Cust the clapping method is not wor'ing for them. I 'now that students really enCoy using the white boards which is why I am including this in my lesson. I want students to have fun and be engaged while still learning this important s'ill.
