ABOUT RHCE EXAM


The RHCE exam is 100% hands-on. You will have a computer and a list of tasks to accomplish. When you are finished, an automatic grader will check your machine to be sure that everything is set up correctly. There are no questions, only tasks. You will have 3.5 hours and access to all RHEL 5 Server software. You will not have internet access.

RHCT/RHCE
The exam itself is divided between Technician tasks and Engineer tasks. If you complete an adequate percentage of RHCT tasks, you will get the RHCT certification. If you complete an adequate number of RHCT tasks, AND an adequate number of RHCE tasks, you will get your RHCE, which includes RHCT certification. RHCT = local machine settings, basic network access RHCE = network services
