Pius Msekwa

Pius Msekwa was the Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania from 1994 to 2005. He later became the vice-chairman of the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi party from 2007 to 2012. Msekwa chaired the CPA Executive Committee from 1999 to 2002. He has a BA from Makerere University and an MA from the University of Dar es Salaam. Msekwa authored a book titled "Reflections on Tanzania's First Multi-Party Parliament: 1995-2000."
