Resin- I am making this item of jewellery people with no particular age. It is made for males and females because it is a symbol. This is why I have made it out of clear resin so I can put a symbol made of polymer clay inside of them like, a flower, picture, key or something meaningful. I have chosen this type of theme because everyone likes to keep a memory of someone or something. Making this item of jewellery would make many people attracted to it. My jewellery has a strong quality to it because it is an everyday item. Also many people would where this jewellery nearly every day since it is an everyday type of jewellery, instead of a piece for an occasion worn once a year.
Sample of colours
Clear Resin
Conclusion
I think that I will base my design on the item with the flower made from polymer clay instead of a dried flower and then placed in clear resin. I have chosen the flower made of polymer clay as I would love to try to create my symbol from polymer but placed in resin to keep them firm and to make sure it is comfortable to wear every day.
Necklace
I have chosen the following necklace images because.. Instead of using a dried flower I will create it (a rose) with polymer clay.
The resin is attached to the necklace it would be easy to drill the whole. The colour of the resin is very interesting because the bottom of the heart if blue and it fades away into a clear.
Summary
From this research I have decided to use resin in some of my design ideas because it look and feels better to wear. The item without resin could dig into your skin. I like the idea of the dried flower inside of it but instead I will create a rose using polymer clay.
