Physics Sound Waves and Music Lesson 1: Resonance: After 20 Minutes, The Students Should Be Able To

This lesson plan introduces students to the concept of resonance through musical instruments. It begins with an activity where students are divided into groups and given a musical instrument to observe in silence. Next, students read and discuss the definition of resonance posted on the board. Then, groups take turns producing sounds caused by resonance in a continuous round game, with the goal of learning how resonance differs from vibration. Finally, groups are evaluated on their ability to create an ensemble using resonance within 3 minutes.
