Basics Activity
Directions: Although Mr. Lofting will be leading your through this activity, you are responsible for completing each of steps below. After completing these steps, you should have a grasp on the basics of Adobe Photoshop! Each step is worth 3 pts, for a total of (an eaaaaassssssy) 30 points!

____ 1) Create a new document (File >> New..) that is 8.5 x 11 ____ 2) Create a new layer and place (File >> Place) and proportionally size the background picture Rasterize the image (right click the layer >> Rasterize Layer) ____ 3) Add the title of your magazine (must be > 100 pt) and a subtitle under your title (must be > 25 pt) ____ 4) Remove at least two annoying objects from the background (make selection >> Edit >> Fill) ____ 5) Open the image of Brad Pitt and baby and remove the background (wand or eraser) You will need to unlock the images layer (right click the layer >> Layer from Background) ____ 6) Move the cutout image to the magazine cover file (Select >> All >> Copy, then Paste) ____ 7) Place the Baby Face image on the cover file under the real babys face, resize, and erase the babys face to reveal the new baby face ____ 8) Place at least one additional picture on your magazine cover and one additional text box ____ 9) Warp a feature on both Brads face and the babys face ____ 10) Save the file as a JPEG (File >> Save As and change the format to JPEG) and submit to your gClassFolder Turn In folder in Google Drive
