AutoCAD Civil 3D Pipe Networks Brief description Within this course the students get skills in using AutoCAD Civil 3D for pipe network design Needed initial skills of the students For all-round perceiving the course materials and effective fulfillment of labs the students need to have AutoCAD basic skills (at least) Aim of the course By the end of this course the students are to be able: To tell about principles of using AutoCAD Civil 3D for pipe network design To describe features of AutoCAD Civil 3D and explain how this work for this field of design To use initial data, model existing and new pipe networks, build alignments, profile views, create styles of displaying the existing and design data, calculate volumes, and lay out the project documentation To work out the best solution for pipe network design To organize teamwork at projects To play the central role in implementation of AutoCAD Civil 3D in their companies To provide long-run support for needs of their companies in automation of design work-flows What the students are to do: To use data on existing conditions To define part lists (lists of types and sizes of pipes and structures) To establish rules for pipes and structures To draw a pipe network in a plan view To check the compliance with the rules To create an alignment To display the pipe network in a profile view To display crossing pipes and other objects in a profile view To style the profile view To add and style data bands To edit elevations of pipes and structures To add sizes for pipes and structures with Part Builder To create a pressure pipe network in a plan view To display and edit a pressure pipe network in a profile view To analyze the pipe network with Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis To finish the project documentation Confirmation of course completion: Autodesk certificate Language: English Course length: 5 days/ 20 hours
