Reading You have been provided with a reading log to record your daily reading on.

On the back of this sheet there is a Premiers Reading Challenge sheet to record books that you read from the Premiers Reading Challenge list. Take care of these lists, as you will be using them throughout the year. Let me know when you fill up a list and need a new one.

After-Reading Activities

For this contract you will be completing more reading tasks for homework. You will be asked to complete activities after reading a book of your choice. Steps: 1. Choose a book to read. 2. Read your book. 3. Complete your reading log each time you read. 4. Complete an activity based on your book. Activities 1. Write to the author and describe your feelings about the book. 2. Construct a mobile of the books characters. 3. Design a wanted poster for a character in the book. 4. Design a new cover for the book. 5. Construct an author mobile showing the titles and illustrations of the books by the author. 6. Write a description of one of the characters. 7. Illustrate your favourite part of the story. 8. Write a publishers blurb to sell the book. 9. Make finger puppets of the characters. 10. Compare and contrast two book characters. 11. Make a bookmark based on the book. 12. Make an illustrated time line of events occurring in the book. 13. Prepare a book of the week display. 14. Write a book review. 15. Make a board game based on the story.
