CDFR

The document describes a Cutting Drilling Fluid Recovery (CDFR) system that uses an auger, high g dryer, and recovery tank to recover expensive oil-based mud from drill cuttings. The auger moves cuttings to the high g dryer, which separates cuttings from fluid using a shale shaker and collects the fluid. When full, the fluid transfers to a 100 bbl recovery tank and then into the mud tank.

Cutting Drilling Fluid Recovery (CDFR) CDFR system is used to recover the expensive OBM which is being discarded

with the cutting from the rig shale shaker. The equipments used for OBM recovery are as follows: Auger High G Dryer Recovery tank

The detail of these equipments is as follows: Auger: Auger is much like an Archimedes screw. It contains spiral blade on a shaft which forces the Mud and cutting towards the chute which discharge them to High G Dryer. High G Dryer: High G Dryer consists of two components which are shale shaker and sump. Shale shaker discards the cutting to waste pit and recover the fluid from the cutting which is collected in the sump located immediately below the shale shaker. The capacity of sump is 10 bbl. By adjusting the deck angle the recovery of liquid Recovery tank: When the sump is full the fluid is transferred to the recovery tank from which the fluid can be transferred to mud tank. The capacity of recovery tank is 100 bbl.
