1. Before 1961 in Korea


After Independence, during the period of president Rhee Syngman(194860) there were no well known economic growth. After the Devastation of the Korean War , South Korea was among of the poorest countries in the world. Economic Recovery was very slow in the period of 1953-1961. Import substitution policy was adopted i.e. depended on US assistance. In the military coup on 16 May 1961, General Park Chung lee took the power. Millions of people are homeless, jobless and they are suffering from hunger Korean Economy was unproductive, incompetent, corrupt and huge economic deficit.

Before 1950 in Nepal


There was Rana regime and there was poor economy growth. There is no any sophisticated economic indicator to measure different aspect of economic dimension. Major economy activates depend on agro-based product. Major Source of foreign currency was remittance by BritishGorkha solder. Economic liberalization strictly prohibited and closed economy. Financial Institution was not conceptualized. There was no proper database to record government revenue and Expenses.
