Lesson Plan - Daily Routine
Topic: Present simple tense and vocabulary related to daily routine. Situation: Students will revise and learn new lexical items related to daily routine (daily routine action verbs). Students will watch a video about a girls daily morning routine. Students will be able to identify different actions. Activities: Before watching Ask the students to think about their daily routine. Then write on the board the following questions:
Do you send text messages in the morning? Do you watch TV in the morning? Do you make up when you get up? Do you take a shower? What else? Do you brush your teeth? / Do you comb/brush your hair?/ Do you dry your hair? Do you make your bed? Elicit the meaning of unknown words. Give them a sheet of paper with images and vocabulary about daily routine. Ask them to identify the lexical items they already know.
While watching Tell them they will watch a video about Emmas daily morning routine and ask them to circle the actions that they will see while watching the video.
After watching Ask them to tell you what Emma does. Complete the sentences about Emmas routine. Use the correct form of the verbs from the box. Brush brush dry get get have have make send watch
