Course Objectives and Outcomes:

This course aims at providing the senior-level under-graduate BICSE/BEE students an introduction to the theory and practical know-how about the Advanced Communication Systems such as Cellular Mobile and Satellite Communications-one of the fastest growing field in the engineering world. The basic and under-lying technical concepts, which are essential for the design, implementation, and research in the Radio Communication Systems, will be presented in an easy to understand way while discussing practical examples and solutions to some real-world problems. On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to understand the Basic Principles behind MW Radio Link, Basic Cellular Radio Concept and Design, Radio Wave Propagation and Propagation Models and Access Techniques for Wireless Communications, MW Radio Link Models and Link Budget Analysis. They will, also, learn the fundamental concepts of Satellite Radio Link and GPS system. Text Books: WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS: Principles and Practice by T.S.
