How to upload and share files using Google Drive 1. Boot your computer up. 2. Log in to the computer 3. Open a web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet explorer, etc..) if there is not a desktop shortcut for a web browser go to the start menu select all programs and scroll down until you see one. 4. After opening your browser go to the URL bar at the top of the browser and type in www.google.com 5. On the google homepage click the sign in button in the top right hand corner. 6. Type in your username and password when prompted 7. If youve never logged in before your username is your student number @s.bryan.k12.ga.us and your password is your birthday in the YYYY/MM/DD format. 8. After a successful login click on the 9 squares icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen and move your cursor over google drive and select google drive. 9. On the google drive homepage you will notice a list of options on the left hand side of the screen. There are two red buttons one says create and the other has an arrow pointing upwards with a line underneath it. 10. Select the button with the upward arrow on it (It is the upload button) afterward it will ask you to select file or folder. 11. Select file 12. An open dialog box will appear locate where you saved the file you would like to upload. 13. After selecting the file you would like to upload select the open button. 14. Afterwards the file will be uploaded to your google drive select My drive on the left hand side to ensure the file was uploaded. 15. Once the file has been uploaded select my drive and right click the file and scroll down and select share 16. When the share dialog box appears scroll to the bottom and type in the email address for the teacher you plan on sharing it with Side Note: We are a google apps district. All students are provided with a google account and are constantly asking how to upload and share files using google drive.
