University of New Brunswick Department of Mechanical Engineering

This document provides information about the ME5493 - Internal Combustion Engines course offered at the University of New Brunswick Department of Mechanical Engineering. The 3 credit course covers principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer applied to spark ignition and compression ignition engines. Students study engine performance experimentally and through assignments. Laboratory exercises are held weekly and students submit written reports. The course has two midterm reports, a final exam, and laboratory exercises that make up the final grade.
