Teaching Experience
2012-Present Aldert Root Elementary School Raleigh, NC Teach General Music classes to 500+ students from Pre-K-5th grade Participate in grade level project based learning. Participate in STEM program through teaching and demonstrating the science of music and music technology. Serve on NCMEA Technology Committee. 2007-2012 Micro-Pine Level Elementary Pine Level, NC Teacher Taught General Music classes to 600+ students from K-5 Taught 3rd-5th grade Honors Chorus Taught lessons on recorders, guitars, multicultural music (including African Drumming and Japanese Drumming), technology, and Orffestra. 2005-2007 Lexington High School Lexington, NC Teacher Taught Concert Band, Marching Band, and Music Appreciation classes. Assisted and taught beginning and intermediate band classes at Lexington Middle School. Received grants for band program in excess of $18,000. Developed Music Appreciation curriculum for the high school. Performed with students at every game (home and away) during Football season, and at 4-6 concerts a semester during the Spring Concert Season.
