3D Solid Objects

- 3D solid objects in AutoCAD can be surfaces or solids and solid objects can be manipulated using Boolean commands while surfaces cannot - It is best to use an isometric view when modeling 3D objects to keep track of the UCS rather than just the top view - Common 3D objects that can be created include boxes, spheres, cylinders, cones, toruses, pyramids and helixes using the appropriate drawing commands - 3D objects can be sliced, united, subtracted from each other or have their intersections extracted using appropriate Boolean commands
