Coat of Arms: Spring Day 2007

A Coat of Arms is a design representing a person or group that uses symbols to tell their identity or story. They originated in medieval Europe where knights and kingdoms used distinctive designs on armor, banners and clothing. Today, many countries and some families or corporations still use Coats of Arms as unique symbols of who they are. For a school project, students in Romania designed their own Coats of Arms representing how they see Romania in the European Union, including symbols of their country in the shield and a motto representing the EU.
