(i) Shannon series and Fourier series have constant time complexity with all frequencies represented with equal resolution in time and frequency. (ii) When subdividing a control volume at a subdivision level of one, the number of faces gets multiplied by 4 for triangular meshes and by 8 for quad meshes.
