Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani EEE G613 Advanced Digital Signal Processing Semester II - 2013-2014 Quiz# 01 Dated: 20-Jan-2014

(i) Shannon series and Fourier series have constant time complexity with all frequencies represented with equal resolution in time and frequency. Wavelet series has variable time complexity with better time resolution and poorer frequency resolution at higher frequencies. Gabor series has variable time complexity with fixed time-frequency resolution. (ii) When subdividing a control volume at a subdivision level of one, the number of faces gets multiplied by 4 for triangular meshes and by 8 for quad meshes.
