Project Monitoring Implementation System

The document discusses the Project Monitoring Information System (PMIS) used by the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning in Bangladesh. The PMIS aims to establish an integrated, computerized system to collect, organize, store, process and disseminate project monitoring information currently managed through isolated, paper-based systems. This will help address current problems like duplication of data entry efforts and the difficulty of extracting information from data. The PMIS framework outlines four levels of systems - from fully paper-based to a fully integrated online system - to provide stakeholders like project directors, agency heads, and IMED with the information needed to manage projects.
