Sequence Task Cards

The document describes an activity called "Speed Dating" where students work through arithmetic and geometric sequence problems by pairing up and taking turns solving problems on task cards. Students first work individually on a problem card, then trade cards and work problems with their partner, discussing the problem until both understand it. Then one row of students shifts over, pairing with a new partner to work additional problems, with the goal of completing all cards. This allows students to get help from their "date" on problems and to take on the role of expert for their partner on other problems.

Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences Task Cards

Speed Dating Arrange desks in two rows. Each student receives a card, !works the problems on the card, checks their answer. Then, the students trade cards with their partner sitting across from them and work the problem on the new card. They are now sitting across the expert for that problem. The dates then discuss the problem until both dates are satisfied. One row will then change a seat over leaving one student as expert to help the new date. This process continues until all of the cards are completed. May take more time at the beginning and will proceed faster at the end.!!
