March of Living

More than 8,000 Jewish teens from around the world will participate in the once-in-a-lifetime March of the Living experience on April 7, 2010. The March takes teens on a journey through Jewish history in Poland, where they will commemorate the Holocaust on Yom Ha'Shoah. They will then fly to Israel to celebrate Israel's Independence Day, Yom Ha'atzmaut, with the entire Jewish community. An information night will be held on October 29, 2009 at Temple Beth Sholom to provide more details on the event costing $4,595 plus domestic travel, with some subsidies potentially available.

ON APRIL 7, 2010, more than 8,000 Jewish
teens from around the world will participate in
a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the March of
the Living. The March takes teens on a journey
April 7-21, 2010
into Jewish history, where Jewish history was
made. Commemorate Yom Ha’Shoah, Holocaust APPLICATIONS: (including
Remembrance Day, during a week in Poland medical form, essay and letters
and then fly to Israel to join the entire Jewish of recommendation) ARE DUE
community in celebrating Yom Ha’atzmaut, December 1, 2009. Personal
Israel’s Independence Day. interviews will be held December/
January.
March of the Living
Parent Information Night COST: $4,595 plus domestic
travel. Subsidies may be available
October 29, 2009 through the Audrey Merkin
6:00 PM Scholarship Fund. Subsidy
applications can be requested from
Temple Beth Sholom the Education Office.
