I am doing well. 4. It was nice you meet you. Materials: 1. Index cards ( 6 cards with vocabulary words on one side and pictures on the other) 2. Handouts with dialogue 3. Video of people greeting each other 4. sheet of paper with 4 pictures and 4 stickers with 4 separate greetings Times Description of activities/actions Instructions/ transitions/checking questions Warm-up/Review: Hello My name is________. Start lesson by greeting students in english(Hello) several times, indicating that the student should repeat. Go to board and point to name ( Ramsey) and say Hello, I am Ramsey. Students answer back hello, My name is. Lead-in/Context: Give all students index cards. Move students to a nearby classroom, point to card 1 (Hello) gesture for students to speak to the other class. point to card 6 (goodbye). gesture for students to speak. Focus on/highlight language: Move students back to class. Place in small groups. Place index cards 1 and 6 side by side in front of students and turn on video. when they hear Hello, demonstrate to lift up card 1 when they hear Goodbye lift up card 2 . Each card the group gets right, they receive a point. repeat with different videos the winning team does not participate in the end of class quiz. Person 2: Goodbye. 5 Minutes Quiz: Give students a sheet of paper with a pictures of 4 different greetings. Have students stick the correct voice bubble sticker on the correct photo. CLOSURE: Have students share what they have learned. before each student exits ask them to say goodbye.
